My boyfriend and i have nearly been together for 2 years (on april 16th) and in June i am leaving to go overseas for 6 months while he stays home....what should we do? should we have a long distance relationship? should we go on a break? should we break up? I think that we will "give each other freedom" like he will b 18 in may n can go clubbing n stuff and will meet girls and i dont want him to be restricted by me while i am not here for 6 months and i also dont wanna be restricted. i donno its just so hard!!! help!!

hey i do really love him but i donno its our first serious relationship for both of us and i dont want any cheating or anything to deal with, it will hurt to much i guess thats why i say give each other freedom n we will see what happens when i come back.................. :)

I think that if you don't want to be restricted than there's not a very deep relationship going on so you should probably just call it quits. If you really loved the person than you wouldn't even care if you were tied down or not so it's probably best to let each other go that way there won't end up being cheating and all of that to deal with. You never know when you get back you might realize you really missed him more than ever and you both might still have feelings for each other and want to pursue something again then who knows. But if you would feel guilty about him being tied down and you don't want to be tied down then there's no point in staying together. There's nothing wrong with that either so don't let others give you the guilt trip in case they do. good luck and hope everything goes good

Mormon missionaries have been known to go for two years and their girlfriend is back home waiting for them when they come back, but more often than not, she finds someone else.

If you're already close to the guy, 6 months is nothing compared to two years. I would totally stick together if I were in your shoes.

I'm was in a long distance relationship myself and it worked out! But there are certain rules you have to follow.
