the dust from refinishing hard wood floors gets everywhere. When I had this done when I was in a home with forced air - I covered the vents..what should be done with baseboard heating?(non electric)

I would cover them just clean the area up really good. After you are done refinishing the hard wood floors just take the covers off and clean it again. Massive amounts of dust obviously shouldn't get collected in there so if your project is taking a long period of time just clean them when it's needed.

Absolutely cover the baseboard heaters. Cover everything else also. Dust will get everywhere regardless of what precautions so do as much as possible. Good luck.

cover them too, you don't want anything getting on the heating elements...causes fires and you'll burn the house down...
