The prophet Muhammed (pbuh) is mentioned in the bible:

in John 14:15-16

" If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the father and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever"

"another comforter" is the prophet muhammed, and when it says another, its saying that anothe prophet, which means that jesus wasnt the son of God, but instead a prophet of God.

Well what they need is, to know how to defined that sentence. Unless they don't know how!

ADDED: After reading all the answers and post of scriptures I still believe the comforter is another prophet who will make you remember what he has taught. And I agree, it is, Muhammad(pbuh). Sorry guys! I read and defined before come to this conclusion. I am not imposing my faith unto you just redefining what is said.

John 14:15-16 May have said that "another comforter" to be with the people forever. The time that Mohammed came seems fit to what Jesus described as the one whom God will send. But the problem is that his coming is too early to fit the time the sign of the end is to happen. It is true that Jesus being the Son of God was just invented by the Christians in order to make their missions possible to reach any place in the world. And those deceptions have to happen so that the prediction about so many divisions and the Book of Revelations presenting the Beast with seven heads (seven stands for many) would expose to the world the devils works cannot be underestimated. Mohammed's coming becomes questionable in the sense that while its book the Holy Qur'an teaches about peace, their leaders are sowing hatred towards whoever they will call Infidels or enemies and becoming an elitist group that will always seek to secede from the country where they will grow and fight for independence specially if the place is known for its rich natural resources or a place of political, economical and geographical advantage. This is the time when the real "another Comforter" should arise since all the events happening for his coming is appropriate..www.thename.ph

Another comforter is talking about the Holy Spirit. Jesus was telling the people that his time on earth was almost finished and that He will be leaving this world talking about His crucifition. He was saying that the Holy Spirit will abide with us forever. That is the trinity God the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. They are three, yet they are one. And if you read a few verses before that you will see that Jesus and God are one. John 14:9 , Jesus says " He who has seen me has seen the Father" 10- Jesus says I am in the Father and the Father in me. John 1 says " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word is Jesus.
no Muhammed is not mentioned in the bible

You're mistaken. Jesus is the son of God, not a prophet, that's an insult. Second, the "comforter" is the Holy Spirit, which makes up the third part of the Trinity,--God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. How can you make the comforter to be some body named Muhammed?

Muhammed is never mentioned in the Bible. The Comforter is the Holy Spirit. God is a trinity. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It was the Holy Spirit to which Jesus was reffering.

"I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Comforter to be with you ALWAYS" (Jn 14:16)

I thought Muhammed died...huh?

"Another comforter" is the Holy Spirit who is with us ALWAYS. This is proof for the Holy Trinity that is also proof that Jesus is God...not a prophet. Prophets don't say
26. "You call Me 'Master' and 'Lord'; and you say well; for so I am." JOHN 13:13

HI!

Dude, everyone knows that the 'Comforter' Jesus mentioned is the Holy Spirit. It's because before Jesus died, the Holy Spirit hasn't descended yet into the hearts of men. But when Jesus died, He promised a "Comforter" for each one of us, that is, the Holy Spirit. It is mentioned in the bible that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit lives in each one of us. THAT is the comforter Jesus meant.

PLEASE don't misinterpret the Bible.

has anybody read the bible in Hebrew? bcus Jesus never spoke English he spoke Aramaic and Hebrew so please before passing off the information as false go and read the bible in Hebrew. Prophet Muhammed PBUH is mentioned by name in the song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16 if u read tht in its original Hebrew language it is clear as day Muhammedin the "in" is a sign or respect as in "sir" n so on but the Christians and jews have translated this word into "altogether lovely" and every1 knows you should not translate names. imagine if I translated john into something else like "the follower" it is not ryt for me to or for any1 to translate names of people but they do. even with the name translated it still points towards Prophet Muhammed PBUH bcus he is "altogether lovely".

Read on please to John 14:17 where the comforter is identified as the Spirit of truth.which the world cannot see and dwells with us and in us.

Further Jesus Christ testified that He was the way, the truth and the life. Thus the spirit of truth spoken of here is Jesus Christ.

in the real Bible and Torah.. had stated about prophet Muhammed(pbuh)... but then the real Bible and Torah being changed by the irresponsible peoples... they put away the truth.. because of their jealousy and arrogance.. they knew the truth but they hid it...they knew the last prophet is Muhammad(pbuh).. but they prefer to be a lier rather than to spread the truth.. after they vanished the statements in the Bible and Torah...they created the new one..so that people won't know... they brought the trinity concept by interpret falsely the statements in the Bible...and so much things that prohibited become not prohibited for them...
