Or you can get creative and paint a picket fence on the wall using painters tape to mark off the pickets and then painting them white. maybe add flowers peeking between the pickets and a puppy or kitten playing through the pickets. Whatever you decide, plan for something that they won't outgrow for a few years.

it is a separate playroom, no longer a bedroom, suitable? attempt to photo a playroom.....they many times have more than a number of toy bins overflowing with toys, bookshelves complete of toys, chalkboard/magnet board on the wall, table/artwork centre, a toy kitchen/workshop, etc. and toys everywhere. The room is going to be busy sufficient by way of the indisputable fact that's so i could save the topic very, extremely easy. you do not opt for the room screaming with chaos lest they no longer opt for to be in there. Our women' room is painted a bright blue (no longer sky blue, slightly darker, very almost a denim blue) with clouds on the ceiling and a fabric sunlight ornament. There are stick-on dragonflies and butterflies right here and there. The fixtures (a bookshelf, 2 dice organizers, a window seat, a toybox and pastime/artwork table) is all white. the purely colourful fixtures is the 4 chairs at their artwork table and an open type toy bin that has colourful bins. there is also a toy kitchen, artwork easel, magnet board and a toy explosion in there. Its a lot busy searching without stuff everywhere in the walls. The walls are easily the purely calming ingredient about the room! (and that i'm so satisfied i did not pick the jungle topic i became considering - its a jungle in there besides!)

My friend has a jungle themed play room for her boy and girl and it's great. She has a palm tree with stuffed animals (monkeys) hanging on it. There are some other animals painted on the walls and a few accesories which include monkeys, a lion, zebras, and a giraffe. The room has a table and chairs, and hooks all in the theme and bamboo shades for the window treatments.
I did an under the sea room. There's a mural on the wall with lots of fish and seashells in shawdow boxes and starfish garland as the window topper. I have a mermaid painted on the wall but it might also be fun to incorporate a pirate theme and a treasure box as toy chest.

Here is a great site with tons of decorating ideas for kids. It's geared toward bedrooms, but these ideas could be used for a playroom easily.

An outdoor theme, like a tree painted on the wall with rope attached to the tree limb painted on the wall and ending on a wooden bench so that it looks like a tree swing.
