A clone has to have a soul, nothing can live without a soul. A clone is just a body, just like any other human body, it is just made in a slightly different way, but without a soul it can never become animated. So the baby of the clone, also has to have a soul for the same reason. A soul is not something we have, a soul is what we are. The body is something we have, for a time, to use while we are in this physical plane. *sm*

I have to agree with several others. IF a naturally conceived human has a soul, THEN a clone would also have a soul. Whether we call it a soul or a spark or energy or just a brain, whatever it is that makes us think and move and feel would exist within a clone as well. So, let's call it a soul. I think it's ridiculous to say that a clone would be soulless.
Also, I don't generally hear it said that clones will be soulless. More along the lines of "God didn't want that human alive, or he would have made it himself, so you're stealing souls from God, and that will be punished! And fire! And brimstone! And American Idol 24-7 in HELL!!!!!" At any rate, for the God-created-us belief, if He didn't want clones to exist, they wouldn't be allowed to exist. If he doesn't mind, then they'll exist. If you believe in God, then he made both the clone and the non-clone. Case closed on that.
So, if a clone has volition and is able to move and think and feel (i.e., a soul) then a clone/non-clone hybrid would have a soul as well.

If the child was conceived and born naturally you would have to surmise it would have a soul, as does every living thing... however would a clone be fertile? And if a clone was then one would have to think the entire situation was fated and would have some divine purpose in it.
I think this might be more of a philosophical question, but fascinating none the less.

But a clone would have a soul, just as much as anyone else.

A clone would have a soul, also. So, their baby would as well. Just because a person might have been conceived unnaturally does not mean they would not have a soul.

I don't accept your premise that the clone (adult) does not have a soul. Who says it wouldn't have a soul?
