When I was 12, my mother French braided my hair for a wedding...never again!

Although that wasn't nearly as bad as the time she tried to trim my bangs when I was a kid--now that was horrible!

I was 15. In the country town people would stop me to say how neat it was braided around my head with bits up it's a European style that is happening now. Then I was the only one. As I was so neat I was offered work in the local milk bar after school and with my first wage I had it cut short no more neat--- Independence !

I was seventeen when she did rag curls in my hair, and that was the last time she did my hair. Usually I just pull my hair up in a quick messy bun, or now that it's short, blow dry it and let it go!

I was 8 years old. My hair was really long and she would braid it for me. I had it chopped off at this age, too, and she never did my hair again.
