Most of the time, worms will show up in the dogs poo. So, if you suspect your dog has worms, when you let him/her outside, watch. Once he/she is done, go over and check. If there are little things crawling around that look like worms, then she/he might have them. I don't know of any natural cures, all i know is to get your dog to a vet ASAP!

Well it depends on what kind of worms you are talking about...if they are the intestinal parasites then you will see them when your dog poops. Yes, you have to actually get down and check their poop. However, before it gets to that point the dog should go to the vet and have a fecal exam. They will test for worms and if the dog has them, they'll give you a simple de-wormer that will clear them up.

For heartworms, the only way to know is to have them tested. If they are heartworm negative, they need to be put on a monthly preventive (a simple chew you give them once a month).

Do not listen to the person who suggested garlic! Garlic can make dogs sick. I took a stool sample to the vet to determine that my dog had tapeworm. 1800pedmeds has a medicine for worms but it suggests contacting your vet for the proper dosage information.

You will see actual worms in the dogs poop. And you can naturally get rid of them by giving your dog garlic.

You need to have a fecal sample looked at by a vet under a microscope. Just because you do not SEE worms, does not mean they do not have them.

Take your pet to the vet and let them deal with the parasites
