You're a "Sweetie!" I never read a question on here like this before, how refreshing!
It's not that anybody is a Jerk, it might seem that way like it may seem that some Women are mean!
There has to be a reason why some men and women, alike don't get along with each other, or the "Chemistry" is off, whatever the problem, but I think the way people are is in their upbringing! The ones who grow up with seeing abuse in their families, esp.men, where the Father is seen hitting the Mother, and doing the "belittling", somehow it gets "engrained" and it's how they learn to handle problems growing up.
Anyway, MEN like YOU deserve the BEST too!

Not all men are jerks. I did post something like that where I thanked all the good men out there a few weeks ago. I actually had one girl get on and tell me that this wasn't a dating site. I wasn't trying to pick up anyone, just wanting to send out some good vibes when there can be a lot of bad vibes on here sometimes. I'm going to accept your answer as well meaning and say thank you for the compliment. : )
P.S. I have to say what an amazing answer Jet99 gave. He actually went around the world and tested EVERY SINGLE WOMAN to know he is 100% correct on that. Don't trust anyone who generalizes like that.

A lot of men are jerks because they can be. Some are insecure, others are jealous. Some are control freaks. A lot of men have the disillusion that all women are meant to cook and clean up after them. I wish I could tell you more, but it would take all night. I'm just happy to hear that someone loves us women for who we are.

The question you pose suggests you really don't get it
Chicks don't even understand their innate attraction to jerks -most in fact still think they are attracted to "nice guys" - so asking such a question to a chick will only get the usual platitudes (i.e. useless answers)
Ever consider chicks may (subconciously) not want to be "respected'?
Actually they may think they want respect, but it's generally a big 'chemistry" turnoff.
Non-controlling, sincere, faithful "nice guys" cannot offer any of that bad boy/seed spreading evolutonary based chemistry they crave like crack cocaine
Females want NOT respect but they want SURVIVAL, which translates into genetic survival, and "nice guys" are in effect deemed to be evolutionary dead-ends decreasing female odds in the lottery of life
Alpha/seed spreading males offered superior genes for the first 5 million years and today its reflected in males who control, deceive, and cheat-on their women
Now a guy today doesn't have to be total jerk to keep the chemisty going -but unless he learns to give chicks a bit of the disrepect they crave, h'es going to end up in the nice guy dumpster on a routine basis
Remember, when chicks dump nice guys, very very rarely does it bother their conscience, if anything they end up annoyed that such a male dared to interfere with plans for genetic immortality that only the Alpha seed spreading males can offer
In regards to what and what they don't want in a man, what chicks SAY is irrelevant, its was they RESPOND to that matters
