He has been really stressed and I did not give him money to buy weed so he could calm down. He is poor and had no family. I feel bad for him.

In my own opinion... no! I might forgive a little push, or grabbing a wrist or an arm, especially if he has never touched you like that in the 3 years you were together--but a straight-up punch in the face? There is no excuse for that, even if you did make him mad. We all choose our actions.

Absolutely NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should put his butt in jail!
I was a police officer for 7 years,and have never seen a guy change, they only get worse. I have been to the same house time after time, and it only gets worse for the female.
You need to get away from him, and never tolerate any kind of abuse from anyone! no matter what kind of abuse it is!
There are plenty of great guys in the world waiting to find someone and treat them with respect.

OK, since you added the part about the pot, that makes it all better, NOT, you really need to just get away from this clown, unless you really just want to end up a loser,always getting beat up because your current loser boyfriend can't even work enough to afford his own pot..

DONT give him another chance! A man should never hit a girl/ women for any reason. The weed is his problem not yours. Leave him you can do better.
