I have recently been introduced to God by my grandmother, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me! All you have to do is go to a local church, and simply ask the preacher to introduce you to the Lord. I garruntee you he or she will be thrilled you asked... See you in Heaven!

If you're talking about the Biblical god: We were introduced, but we don't really like each other. Sort of like people who work at the same company, but don't have a thing in common other than that.

OTOH, when I met the Lady, she and I hit it off right away.

YMMV.

Amen but if someone really wants to meet the Lord they don't have to wait they can do it right now right where they are what if they were to get hit by a car and killed before they got to the church now is the time

Kaitlin...Pay no attention to the responses you get that are negative! It does not matter how you found God... Where you found God.. or what religion you found him in! I too am so happy for you. Lives can change when people find God.. He is our Savior and Redeemer! The people that answer you negatively are still searching for him (GOD) and it is obvious in their answers they are still searching. Why else would they be mocking you yet hanging out on the Religion and Spirituality section of Yahoo! Kind of hypocritical don't ya think? God bless you!!!!! (and the lost souls that are still searching!)

Lots of people have tried ,But there was NOTHING in front of me ,to be introduced Too.
I`m not into pretending or imagining,so nothing ever came of it .
I even had a priest tell me that if I didn`t 'See" god or feel the power of god when I took communion ,then I was a hopeless lost soul .
Nice thing to say to someone huh?
I guess it was the infusion of guilt or removal of self esteem that was being tried on me .Well it didn`t work.

We've been introduced, but we had a disagreement on our religious beliefs.

Ok, ok, sarcasm off.....basically everyone in America (many of which make up the population of Yahoo! Answers) have already been "introduced" to "the Lord". Some agree with your beliefs. Some do not. Do not assume that because we don't agree with your beliefs that we have not heard your "good news". We have. But just as not everyone likes cherry popsicles, not everyone believes the same about the nature of reality and the God(s)/ess(es) in it.

I have and isn't it a great feeling? U get a sense of peace and hope, like nothing in the world can harm u and you'll never feel hurt again....

tho that is not true we will find hurt and pain, but with God all things work to the good, when you call on Him all things are possible

I once saw a preacher line a bunch of teenagers in the front of a church and go down the line smacking them on the forehead while he yelled out "Fire of Jesus!"

Is this what you're talking about?

Been there done that...then I got an education. Religion is made up, but if it makes you happy to "believe" in something supernatural, good for you. I "believe" in science.
