The Amnesty issue doesn't have anything to do with Amnesty, but everything to do with furthering the North American Union agenda.

Don't believe what I said above is true...LOOK at the facts..not what people say, but the facts. Look at the legislation and then think about WHO are the people who are backing all this legislation..including the companies who are wanting BOTH the Amnesty AND the NAU to go through. They are the very same people.

We are all being used.

the europeans have a union as well. its working perfectly for them. they are richer and all the countries that are in the union are all equal. which means, if the US is gonna make a union with Mexico and Canada, they would have to help them to be equal to them. It wont be like the european union though, where most of the countries in the union have equal power depending on the year, month, etc. Most likely the US will always have the upper hand. but this could fix immigration and will make the US a richer country. Believe me, just hope that union forms. about the Amnesty thing, if it passes it means the NAU will be formed.

When you are up to your a** in alligators ... it's time to wonder why you did not notice them sooner!

It's too late to "drain the swamp!" Now we have to manage the problem. Do you honestly think that the combined forces of ICE, and all of the local, County, State and Federal Police (including the combined forces of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines) can solve the illegal immigrant problem within any reasonable timeframe? Get REAL! It took over 50 years to get into this mess, it will take a long time to resolve it (not to mention a lot of brains!),

Did the police at Woodstock (the original or revisited) bust everyone carrying a little weed? NO! They went after the violent criminals who were out of control ... and took a healthy dose of "live and let live" for the rest!

The combined forces of the Local, County, State and Federal Police, ICE and the armed forces would still be heavily outnumbered against the illegal aliens (if you count them all).

Time to negotiate a peace treaty (and stick to it!). Give the "best" of the illegals a path to legality (as in legal resident, with citizenship within reach, but difficult to get!). Give them an option, exit, re-enter, pay a hefty fine and get permission to live and work here legally (citizenship after you prove you can abide by our laws (no misdemeanor or above crimes), learn English, completely pay your fine for illegal entry, and pass the standard citizenship test) As to those who don't "measure up" (criminals, those who refuse to follow the steps to "get legal") run them through the current process of hearings, sentencing, prison and deportation!

We have met the enemy, and it is US! Too many years of the "nod and wink" approach to illegal immigration (because it served the needs of business, profits and big bonuses for management ... and "donations" (read as "payoffs") to political parties) have left us in one h*** of a mess ... the solution is time and intelligence!

Redefine the problem ... instead of "what can we do about the illegal aliens as a whole?" Ask "What can we do about the illegal aliens that are a drain on our society, and how can we be rid of them?"

The task of deporting them all is no longer manageable, it's time for "workable" solutions.

Well I am not all for a North American Union, but I also know as a fact that mass deportation is a stupid idea. Amnesty is a must, even though it doesn't have to be FULL amnesty. So you know, we are kind of stuck in between the wall and the sword.
