It's not. Just becasuse someone old white guy wrote the bible for control chaos and everyone reads and follows it, doesn't make it true. People use it as a guide. It is as true as any self help book written today. If you beleive and think its right, then you follow it. For example I like Dr. Phil, I have yet to read one of his books, but I beleve he has a pretty good opion on some issues. The bible is for the weak minded that must refer to a old book to get their own lives in order.

The Bible is the word of God in the words of men so we have to distinguish what is God's word and what is coming from men. That is the task of exegesis.
Exegesis is the science whereby scholars determine the correct interpretation of the text. The Bible is unique, for it is the word of God coming to us in the words of men. Therefore, biblical exegesis demands that we find out what both the human author and the Holy Spirit are trying to say.
The scholarship of the early church fathers was matched only by their holiness. Hence they speak to us with authority even today. They are also unique in that they are the link between the apostles and us.
This does not belittle the work of scholars and exegetes today. To accomplish their task they have to be fluent in the biblical languages and in the history and geography of the ancient Near East. They must muster archeology, paleontology, anthropology, oriental psychology and many other specialized sciences.
Over and above these sciences, the Christian exegete must take account of the fact that the Bible was given to us, in both its Testaments, by a living tradition. The literature side of it can be studied with the tools of literary analysis, but only the believers who passed it on to us can interpret the revelatory aspect. That means that the Jewish community today is the authority today on the Old Testament as the Hebrew Scriptures. The Catholic Church is the final authority on the New Testament. It is also an authority on the Old Testament since the Christian community inherited the Hebrew Scriptures and therefore has the right to interpret them according to the light of Christ. Also the earliest Christians were Jews, and the learned among them, like Paul, could interpret the Jewish Scriptures authoritatively.
Peace!

We know The Bible is the exact word of God because The Bible says it is, and everything God says is true, and if God says in The Bible that The Bible is His exact word, then it's true, and we know God is real because everything in The Bible is true, and The Bible says God is real, and since The Bible is the exact word of God, God must be real and The Bible must be His exact word.

I had made a prayer back when I started believing in God to show me his truth. And then miraculously the very next day, someone gave me a Bible and I started reading. I found it to be the truth of God. The truths of God cannot be learned, they have to be REVEALED and only God can do that.
The Bible is Gods words. People reading the Bible dont believe in God because of what the Bible says, we believe God, therefore we believe the Bible.

Because I have studied it - in depth - for ten years. Before I began bible study, I did not believe it was God's word. I thought it was just written by people. After years of study, seeing His word proven true all around me, within me, and seeing my life turn around over and over again, by His grace, I have come to the opinion that the bible is what it claims to be; given by inspiration of God.

Ok, The authors of the New Testament were either eyewitnesses to the life of Christ, or were close associates of eyewitnesses. And so they give a clear testimony as to the deity of Jesus Christ. Jesus not only claimed to be God, but He proved His claim through [1] messianic prophecy fulfillment, [2] the performance of miracles, and ultimately through His historically verifiable resurrection from the dead.
Now, if you can prove that Jesus is God in human flesh, whatever He says is truth right? Well lets see what Jesus say concerning the bible? He says that it is the very Word of God! As to the Old Testament, Jesus said that the "Scriptures cannot be broken," and therefore they are sufficient, authoritative, and inspired. In fact, he went on to promise that the Bible will guide not only his apostles, but all of us in the truth - the truth he was talking about is not subjective truth, but objective verifiable truth.

Besides scripture, since you dont want that, the fact of how far the bible has come. The bible has been scrutinized for a long long time, people trying to destroy it, only certain people having it, ect, and yet, it still stands strong.

You are asking the spiritual equivalent of "Why is blue, blue?"
It is the exact word of God because it says it is.
Another reason is that one third of it is prophecy, which is history written in advance. (And no, the prophecies are not so vague that anything could fit them.)
Nothing anyone could say here would satisfy you, since the a priori assumption built into the question demonstrates that you aren't really interested.
