I'm going on vacation again this year to Ireland. My cousin who is an asst. pro at The K-Club has arranged for us to play with Padraig Harrington and his caddy. He is friends with Paddy's caddy and the last time I was there I got to meet him but we didn't play. What would be a good gift to get him. Also, should I bring something for Padraig and his caddy. I'm not even going to have to pay a green fee. (Pretty cool eh!)

You lucky dog! Bring them all something that is unique to where you live. They get all the golf stuff they want for free, or at a huge discount, but, a hat, towel, or divot tool from a local club, or anything else that says, your home town will certainly be appreciated. BTW you should always bring gifts to hosted free sounds at private clubs.
Have a great time

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two and family would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

Yes... go outside the golf world for gifts. Your cousin and Padraig and crew don't need anything golf related I would gather. I would get something for them that they can't get easily and would appreciate. NOT golf related. Remember they are people first, not just golf robots... :- )

find two bottles of the nicest wine from here in the states, different types...have it boxed and secure for shipping so no accidents...I recently played Wente vinyards in Livermore Calif...its a Greg Norman design and they had the coolest special bottles of wine from the vineyards the course is in, they also had detailed overhead pictures of certain holes painted on collector bottles...had to be the coolest things Ive ever seen for a golf collector or golfer/wine drinker...

***DONT BE DUMB AND GET HIM SOMETHING THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH GOLF ***

Bring over newly released DVDs from the US.

Padriag Harrington enjoys books, movies, and keeping things simple. His favorite DVD is American Pie.
