This is pretty much to all of you who have had it done-BE CAREFUL!!!!!
I used to work at Claire's in the Mall, and we had to learn how to do piercings,,,and that was my least favorite to do,
1) because the gun tends to get caught up and pull the already tender pierced area
2) when asked if they should get it pierced there, I was advised to say NO
It is dangerous, and with that course you take, the pictures they show you of the infections that can happen if it doesn't take are hideous!!! Don't stop yourself on account of me, all I am saying is prepare for a lot of discomfort, but make sure you take care of it with the topical solution they give you.
Alcohol will dry it, irritate it, and cause it to close up from the inside out,,,
peroxide, will pretty much do the same,,,,
the solution doesn't burn at all,,,,and if your ear does burn or get irritated after your piercing,,,just put a lil dab on there, it is almost cooling. Good luck!!!!!

Regular Ear Piercing does hurt, but getting your cartiledge pierced is like a piece of cake! It takes like a second, and it doesnt hurt much afterward, unless you have really sensitive ears or it may be infected. But I've had mine for about 2 years and I've had no problems. You don't even really have to put that solution on it because it's barely feels like it's there!

cartiledge piercings don't hurt anymore than a normal ear piercing don't let what other people are saying scare you or anything I have 3 cartiledge piercings I'm not going to lie.... if it gets infected [which it most likely will] it does hurt but thats just my opinion I had one of my cartiledge pierdcings done with a piercing gun , 1 done professionally with a needle and 1 my friend did the one I got done with the piercing gun hurt the least

Heck no!! I thought that it would hurt alot and was freaking out but when the lady put the earring in, I didn't know and was like when are you gonna put it in. It takes a long time to heal(about two months) and you need to take very good care of it!! You should clean it with what the people who pierced it gave you twice a day. And you should spin the piercing around to prevent it from sticking to your ear. You should also use 24 carat gold or those sensitivity earrings since it will take quite a while for it to heal and you don't want an infection.

The piercing doesn't hurt, but it is really sore for awhile. A lot more than a normal ear piercing, but not as bad as some other piercings. Don't plan to sleep on that side of your body for awhile since the piercing will hurt for a couple weeks.

There are two ways to get your cartiledge pierced. By gun and by needle. I did mine by the gun (same as regular lobe) and it felt about the same. The only thing that hurt was right after it got really warm to the touch and red but that goes away fast. Felt just like getting your regular ear pierced but just clean it twice as much otherwise you will get an infection. By needle I have heard you don't feel it at all - but haven't tried that. Also, if you do get an infection - just keep washing your ear and it will go away. Hope that helps!

I have seven ear piercings. Three on each ear on the lower lobe then a cartiladge on the left ear. And honest to god, the soft tissue piercings hurt more than the cartiladge. Not saying regular piercing hurts at all, but if I had to compare the two, that's how it honestly is. I got it done in seven grade and I've always told anyone who asks (including my aunts and Mom who actually went and had it done when I told them) that soft tissue hurts more.

It definitly is worse than having other parts of your ears pierced. I had my tragus and upper ear lobe pierced. I found the worst part was that afterwords my tragus got REALLY infected, even though I did take good care of it. My doctor said it was because there is a lot less blood flow through cartilege. I had to soak it twice a day in warm salt water. That was a bigger pain than getting it pierced

It relies upon on the place you get them. My nostril did no longer injury, and neither did that little nub on the front exterior of my ear (closest to my cheek). however the only which I certainly have interior the cartilage area interior the middle of my ear injury like a mom and took an prolonged time to heal. I virtually got here up off of the table. I do have faith that each physique is different while it involves cartilage piercings and soreness tolerance. Your adventure is probably no longer an identical, in spite of ways plenty enter you get, and the place you get your piercing. good success!
