Why are so many Christians judgmental, boring and quite frankly scary looking? Being a Christian should be filled with joy and happiness, accepting everyone....

I know there will be times when you feel low, but should we still remain strong, instead if turning people away? and making them feel worthless....

I am not being unkind, this is the truth, some of us Christians are so wrapped up in ourselves, and forget our job

I don't understand why it amazes some people that Christians don't instantly become perfect when they accept Christ. It is a process of growing faith throughout a lifetime that changes us to be more Christlike. Getting saved is just the beginning.

Now some "Christians" just don't get it. They don't read their Bibles and the live a double life. They play church and then live life without ever using what they learn in church. I have watched a lot of people do this. It is so sad to see someone who has the ability to be happy right in front of them and yet tosses it aside to stay miserable.

The number one reason people become Christians is other Christians.

The number one reason people don't become Christians is other Christians.

This true statement is an obvious indication that those of us that get it, need to let our light shine (even just for the Christans that didn't get it).

Accepting everyone and condoning sin are two different things. We are still in this fallible flesh body, so of course, we have emotions just like every human being and at times we do stumble.
Most people do not like the truth; however it is much easier to swallow when one is approached in a humble and gentle manner.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
God never said the road would be a cakewalk. We are to persevere and stand fast.
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Romans 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
I hope this helps you.

I agree with you; except for the scary looking part. I'm a Christian and I believe that too many Christians set a really bad example of who God is. Some Christians constantly critique others when they need to step back and take a look at themselves. They are just afraid of letting people see their sensitive side. Luckily, this is only some Christians, I know many who aren't like this.

Judgmental comes from attending many topical sermons where the pastor preaches on sanctification. Then with little to no biblical knowledge they become pastorians or "little pastors" Who parrot what they understand comming from the pulpit. The Bible is balanced and when read creates balanced Christians.
Boring and scary looking is a universal trait. Ever been to a Pagan festival and looked around Sunday morning? LOL

Yes you are totally correct but it is real hard not be judgmental when we are judging the judgment of judgmental Christians. Are we then not also "Judgmental Christians?"
I have Joy .. Happiness on a few occasions. And I respect everybody. I do not accept much.
May the Lord richly bless you bro.

The Fool On The Hill makes a good point. Also, it just seems like people always take a good idea, build a belief structure to it, and then close off their minds and refuse to accept the fact that anyone who has belief's other than their's can be decent, good natured people.

We must not hang around with the same bunch of Christians, that's all I can figure. My friends and I love to laugh and joke, and I can't think of any of them that look scary.

Me, I'm built like a fireplug with a silver wig tossed on top, and if the number of total strangers who talk to me wherever I go is any indication, I must not look too frightening. Then again, I like people, so I guess that must help, too.

Well maybe they are perceived as judgmental because they are so truthful? That's the way it goes.

I have been perceived as being a rude snob, simply because I don't baby sit ignorance. Be strong in the Lord. If people turn away they do so on there on volition.

Are you talking about church people? Your question was a little odd, but if you're talking about church people, the answer is a categorical "maybe."

I have no idea what goes on in their minds. Likely they don't either.

I'm not so sure I'd say many. There are some, just like in any group there are some who do not show the best characteristics of the group.

You haven't the slightest idea what being a Christian should be filled with. Stop quoting what you heard someone else say! We are to tell the truth and if that makes someone feel bad, great! Life goes on.
