I forgot to add that to me it all seems to fit into place. The first life forms were created for the foundation of humankind and God had it all planned. The killing of the dinasours, the technological advances, and everything else. I just thinck he planned everything to fit in accordance perfectly.

No. The biblical account of creation doesn't jive with evolution. God created. Doesn't mean there isn't what is known as micro-evolution (evolution within a species).

No, because God would have said that it happened that way.

The math of evolution requires an infinite physical time span. However, science has discovered that the universe had a beginning--so there is not enough time to make evolution even remotely possible.

You're approach is good, but your conclusion is flawed. Since God is infinite, you should have no problem with the concept that the perfection of Creation could happen in a 144 hour period. The Greeks believed that this was accomplished with just a word of command. This was referred to as the "Logos"--ie "The Word".

John 1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Some can say you can believe in both. However, it does not wash with me. If the God you are considering dwells in the eternal and is THE Creator, then you should have no problem with His abilities to create as He wills. Only a limited concept of God would have trouble with it. Evolution is nothing to stumble over. Evolution and science are a distraction away from what is most important--that being eternal salvation.

Remember this, and never forget. Science is limited to the physical. Your soul is eternal. The Bible deals with what is eternal where science cannot venture. The physical realm will pass away, and science will pass away with it. What you want to do is latch onto that which will last forever, and that is the Word of God.

Matthew 24:35
Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."

When it comes to the origins of life there are only two possibilities: Creation or spontaneous generation. There is no third way. Spontaneous generation was disproved hundreds of years ago, but that leads us to only one other conclusion, that of supernatural creation. - George Wald, "The Origin of Life", Scientific American May 1954

Yes, it is possible.

The concept is called theistic evolution. It asserts that God has a hand in the random/chance/stochaistic aspects of natural selection and as such can guide it even though it would continue to look stochaistic.

This conflicts with a literalist interpretation of the Bible, but not with a metaphorical interpretation. A metaphorical reading of Genesis can incorporate theistic evolution.

Precisely!
It comes down to whether you believe 'god' is omnipotent and therefore could have created the universe in any way 'god' saw fit.
It's like the old joke "Where does a 500pound Gorilla sit? Anywhere he wants to!"
How does an omnipotent 'god' create the universe?
And that's the point you're making, right?

I don't believe there's a god, and I do think that the theory of evolution is correct.

I don't see any reason other than a literal reading of Genesis that evolution would conflict with the existence of the Christian God.

It's possible - with a narrow definition of what the "evolutionary process" really is. Pope John Paul II and Pope Pius XII both agreed and said so publicly.

I believe that God created all things and He made animals the way they are...to live in certain habitats..I do believe that when taken out of that habitat...a lot of animals learn to adapt...but in evolution I do not believe.

Yes. There could be a God that no one worships on Earth.

In theory, anything is possible. However evoultion is so highly improbable that it barely even rates as science. It is only a theory.
