I have recently went tanning, well more like 1 week and 1/2 ago and i burned...i was peeling bad but now it is only a small portion on my back. I am no longer red and i have no pain whatsoever. I still am applying aloe to my whole body anyway. I am just wondering if I can still go to the tanning bed if my back still has a bit to peel? I want to go this week but does anyone know???

sun burns are so, so bad for your skin. Sun burns make you more suceptible to skin cancer. and you can get skin cancer at any age, even in your 20s. You may not care about getting cancer when your 60, but what about when your 20 or 30? And tanning will cause you to get wrinkles earlier. You might look good now, but in 10 years all that sun damage will come to the surface and show up as wrinkles and freckles. Stop tanning and just get a spray on. Really, just be cool with the pale skin you were born with. I dont know why you guys tan, pale skin can look really nice, like Claire Danes or Nicole Kidman. Don't say no one warned you.

rian, no i think tanning is fine. i would wait though b/c burnings can hurt, but what you should do is make your skin used to it, do like 10 then 15 then 20 minutes, just go a few times at each time that way your skin gets used to it a little better. Just so ya know even if you go lay outside you can get skin cancer and wrinkles, not just from tanning, besides i tan for myself, not for others i'm just comfortable tanner than not, plus its important to look good. Just build your self up to it.

You really shouldn't. If you peeled, then you burnt your back really bad. By using a tanning bed, you are letting the new skin area, which is very tender, be venerable to being re-burned and increase your chances of skin cancer. Wait until all is healed.

no u probably shouldnt because your skin is still damaged and it is still trying to fix itself. if u go tanning now the problem could just get worse. your going to want to wait until your back is totally healed. the same thing happened to me but it was on my nose and when i went tanning again my nose looked so nasty. so wait!
