i turned in my research paper for my science project i got a 0% everyone else got like 60's my project is how does color of flame retardant fabric affect it's level of flammability i'm 11th grade a guy in 9th is doing his on do goldfish survive longer in salt water or fresh water and he got an 80% i met the requirments of the guidelines he gave us for our papers my friends even read my paper and they think i should've scored way higher but i got the same grade i would've gotten if i just didn't do it. Either my teacher is psycho and out to get me or he just dosn't know how to do his job how should i handle this?

wow thats wierd. I think thats a pretty interesting topic too. its acutually REALLY hard to get a zero unless u completely didnt hand it in, which u did. so u should at least get a 20 for the effort and keep going up from there.

i think u should talk to your teacher and ask him y u got that grade. if it isnt reasonible, talk to your parents. he should be fired if he cant grade fairly.

and like the person above me said, dont go blaming your teacher when explaining your problem. good luck and i hope you get a real grade or understand y u got a 0.

Well, unfortunately, color has nothing to do with wether or not something is flame retardant or not. You can use dyes on fire retardant material that are not flamable so it doesnt really matter what color it is. They might tend to be one color to let people know about it, but there is nothing scientific about it. Another reason for a 0% would be plagarism, but I don't think thats the issue.

Talk to your teacher and ask them why you earned a 0%. If it still seems unfair or unjust, have your parents make an appointment to talk to your teacher or go see your counselor.
But when you talk to your teacher, don't come off as blaming them or accusing them of being out to get you. Just ask why you got a 0, because you are not sure what you did wrong.
