no offense, but vista really is not worthed it, man. it require alot of memory and high processor, and it takes so long to start up. the only way that u computer can ready for vista is to upgrade ur memory and graphic card, which can cost around 3 hundreds bucks.

You need to upgrade the parts of the motherboard. Microprocessors, RAM, Memory (if necessary), Graphics Card, Sound Card (if necessary), and other parts. Before you can run Windows Vista, you need to upgrade every one of these otherwise your computer cannot cope with Vista. For example, obviously, you cannot use a motherboard from Windows '95 and '98 to run Windows Vista because the processors are not advanced. Like I said, upgrade all of the parts on your motherboard before you can run Windows Vista.

Windows Vista isn't necessary, but if you want it, you might need some upgrades. If you can send me a message with the model computer you have, I can tell you what (if anything) is required for which version of Vista.

Vista has gotten a bad rap.I have been using Vista sense about a weak after it came out.And yes at first it was kind of irritating because most programs would not work on Vista. But sense then Microsoft has released several compatibility updates and I have grown to love this OS.It is one of the most stable systems I have ever used.My system has never froze or crashed.Just try it for your self and don't listen to all these ppl complain about Vista. Most of them have only heard rumors and don't have any first hand info about Vista...good luck

yea, u can upgrade u computer if u are able to use win xp but there are a few things to know before u get vista and think about getting it..Usually the first few new versions of OS's (operating systems) have alot of bugs that in second editions are fixed. If u want to get vista go to window.com or microsoft.com to see what min's are needed..If u just want a few features that vista has u migh go to Download.com they have a few utiltiles that could help.

You can go to http://www.microsoft.com then support/downloads and run a check on you computer to see if it will support Windows Vista,But I would wait a while maybe 6 months and let them work out some of the bugs/problems first before upgrading.
Hope this helps

Yes. You need to buy the Vista OS, and meet the minimum system requirements.

I dunno why anyone would actually WANT to go to Vista though. It's much more trouble than it's worth...
