I have two suggestions one Dr. Sears Baby book. very helpful. It is a gentle and easy to read book with lots of information on just about everything for the first year. The second is more of a mom book Life After Birth by Kate Figes. I wish I had read it when I was pregnant. I found this book after my son was born and felt that it was a book I should have read while pregnant. It put a lot of how I was feeling in perspective and made me feel better about the long process of becoming a mother.

I found "The Baby Whisperer" by Tracy Hogg very helpful. It's British practicality belies all this new age horsepucky in America. You can get it at a major bookstore such as Barnes & Noble or Borders, or order online.

Well I bought the Baby's owner's manual, very fun and interesting to read. I never felt like it was boring and I just couldn't go on reading. I hate to read, and I love it. I still use it. When my son became a toddler, I bought the toddler's owner's manual. It's such a great set of books

My aunt recommended "What to expect when you're expecting"

It guides you through each month and whatnot during your pregnancy.

Best wishes & good luck.

What to Expect When You're Expecting. I read it throughout my first pregnancy and it really helped answer some questions.
