This time of year it's towards the end of the Steelhead (rainbow trout) run. Suckers should be piling into the river to spawn any time now too. Over the summer it's a warm water fishery for Catfish, Carp, Sunfish, and Small Mouth Bass. The river gets a very small run of Chinook Salmon in the fall, but it's to small to really target. Then back to Steelhead!

The lower river hosts some decent Pike fishing, although I've never tried it. Also, the DNR stocks Brown Trout into Paint Creek just a little further up-river.

Hope this helps!
