I would get a shoebox and poke some holes in it, and put it under a light, pref. growth light.
Baby birds want warmth.
Put shredded paper on the bottom of the box, take some socks or rags and make a little nest. Put the bird in the middle.
Get Kaytee exact at your local petstore, drip feed the bird directly into crop. Follow their portions exactly.
In the meantime feed him through a drinking straw: shorten it and let food/water slowly come down into his gaping beak. If you just tap the beak, it will open.
I would suggest a tiny bit of boiled egg, mixed with water, room temp. That is just an opinion... I am not an expert so get someone else to verify. Smash up some whole-wheat bread, or some cereal, such as cheerios. Dilute it well.
He should not go to bed with an empty crop.

To keep the bird warm get a fish tank, or a Rubbermaid container and line the bottom with shavings. On top of the shavings put a layer of paper towels. That way you can clean up the mess with no problem. Under everything get a heating pad and have it going up the back of your container. It shouldn't cover the bottom completely as the bird will move away from the heat if it gets too hot.
You can get a thermometer and the ideal temp for a very young bird is about 98 degree's. If it is feathered out reduce the temp.
If you have the heating pad set to medium you should be ok. I also put in a small stuffed animal so the chick can go underneath it to feel secure.
Cover the top with a towel.
Good luck

Wild baby birds do not do good in captivity, even if you think you're helping. Call your local humane society, they'll know how to care for it, or can tell you who will. If you absolutely must keep it, I would suggest getting a UV light and putting a red gel over it. Don't get the bird too close - these lights get HOT.

the best way is to keep the bird in a cardboard box and have a bare lightbulb in the box, set low down. that way the bird is getting the security of the box and the warmth of the bulb. DON'T turn the bulb off, leave it on until you go to bed and turn it on as soon as you waken up.

Please read this site. It is illegal to keep this bird. Put it in a shoebox in a quiet room for the night and get it to a vet or rehabilitator ASAP in the morning. Do not try to feed it or give it water, you can harm it by doing so.

Well, try a dry towell, you might want to try warming it up a bit with a hairdrier first, too, but don't get it hot, just slightly warm.
And keep it well fed, birds need a lot of food, which warm them up as they break it down in their organism.
Good luck
