She is a hardcore Baptist. She isn't taking it well and I am afraid I will lose the only person I can still fully trust. How can I help her understand my choice?

If she's really your friend then she will come around. I lost some friends when I became a Muslim - I learned who my true friends really were.

She should respect your choice no matter what.

True friendship transcends religion. Explain to her that yours is a nature based religion, explain the rede "Do as thou will and in it ham none", that you do not worship Satan. Try being as open and honest as you can and explain why you chose Wicca and exactly what it means.

Hopefully she'll come around and remember it was each other who came together as friends and not religion who brought you together. Good Luck.
