No, the actual authors, the ones before redaction, I thought you people knew your bible and its sources.
I am severely disappointed in these answers.

I think Nicencool and Father K are the only two that even understood the question. I would like to give one of them best answer but if I send this to voting other people will be able to see how bad the quality of answers are from believers.

The writer of the Epistle to the Hebrews - whoever he may be. Beautiful use of the Greek language - - elegant, expert use and understanding of the Jewish Scriptures and a theology that has stood the test of time.

The Bible has more than 40 authors. The books that are there were taken down from previous books and sources. There are very few books that actually have a single author. Christians deny this but then they would. They have to have their "God" write it. Well let me tell you, if their "God" wrote it. Then he's the worst author of fantasy fiction that I've ever read. He can't even keep up with the narrative's facts between one book and another!

Well, to be frank, God is the only author. God just inspired the about 40 authors of the Bible.
To answer your question, it is St. Paul because he advised those whose faith is dwindling and he encouraged persecuted Christians. He also rebuked the false teachers and he taught the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

ALL of them the Bible is Jehovah God's written word to humankind.
2Tim 3:16, 17 "All Scritures is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work."

Do you mean Bible translation or writer in the Bible? I use NIV now, but I still think in King James. (-:
If I had to choose one writer in the Bible as my favorite I believe it would be Paul.

I like John and Paul the most. But Job is also good. I prefer all them though.

i really get a lot out of john's writings...there's a sense of urgency and strong purpose...and david's psalms are incredible...i sometimes think that if david lived today, he'd be writing things like 'i can only imagine'...
