Met someone while playing World of Warcraft...lots in common since that was what I was doing mostly (mainly playing WoW if not working). She moved up from another state, moved in together, got married, bought a house, didn't work out, divorced & sold house. Where-ever you meet someone, wouldn't recommend rushing into anything.

Ive had good and bad experiences. Some of the bad include a guy who sweated alot and smelled sooo bad and one who had no teeth and told me he loved me within the first five minutes of meeting...
..I have met some really nice guys online..a couple long term relationships. I dont see any difference in meeting someone at a grocery store, bar, park etc and meeting someone online..just make sure you get a pic first..a real pic and a recent pic and never meet someone for the first time in private always always a public place..

Be careful! I was on to entertain myself when my bf contacted me!! We talked for a while before we met. We were both pissed!
Now I'm on a few dating sites and I'm taking it a little more seriously. I can't figure out eharmony or match.com. Adult friend finder is entertaining if you don't mind not being able to see faces; most profile pics are "naughty parts."
I would not recommend online dating as there is no way to know if you would have chemistry. Pictures don't do people justice.

Well...it has worked for me. I have been with my boyfriend now for one year. With online dating, you just have to be careful and use common sense.
