It evolved and became a parot, and because of that only parots can talk. Heck, my uncle's parot laughs when someone tells a joke.

There are many accounts in the Bible, which employ a literary device used by Jewish Old and New Testament writers called Midrash. Midrash is the substantive of the Hebrew word darash which means to search, to investigate, to study and, also, to expound on the fruits of the research. The aim of Midrash is to draw from Scripture a lesson for the present.
Midrash could also be defined as a "reflection on Scripture in the light of the actual situation of God's people and of the developments of God's action on its history. It proposes to explain the meaning of Scripture in the light of the later historical experience of God's people. This kind of interpretation often opened the door to embellishments of the sacred accounts, anachronisms, and a freedom in handling and maneuvering the data of tradition that were at times a little too candid and certainly very imaginative."
A good example is the Midrashic story of Noah and the flood. It is the divine message, which is important, (God saves his children from evil) not the literal account of the story.
God bless!

I've been wondering where the talking snakes went, too. And why did they care if Adam took a bite of the apple, anyways? But God put the tree in the Garden to begin the whole charade...so can we sue Him for negligence? I mean, where was the on-the-job training for Adam or Eve? I think Adam needs to take this up with his union steward....Begin Hate Mail *beep*

here's a little scientific nugget figured out by a Christian who is a genetic scientist (once was my step son). If one makes an educated guess as to how much space it would take to store the genetic information from all things living on land, the amount of space needed comes to nearly the space available on the ark leaviong a little more than the space that would be needed tfor the humanes aboard to live in. Makes one think since there is no Biblical reference with regards to how Noah got the species on board, or even as I remember iit that he was the one who got the information on board.

The only reason that snake talked was because it was "possessed" by the devil. There are no other talking snakes. And after that God cursed snakes...so there are no longer flying snakes either
