My baby sister is dating a guy she is serious about. My wife and I will be meeting them for dinner this Friday to meet the rest of my family. I want to break the ice and not make him feel crowded. How can I do that?

Try and get a feel for his personality first. Then expand on the topics he is willing to talk about in order to find out more. Use leading questions such as "So, your interested in modern society...what do you think about traditional values?" Look out for your sis while still making him feel comfortable by talking about and expanding on his interests. As far as a first and second question..."So, how exactly did you meet my sister?" And "I'm so happy to finally get to meet you...do you want to get a drink before we get a table?

Just talk to him, about lame stuff. Make him feel comfortable.
