im thinking of getting my nose pierced (without my parents approval) but im 18 so that doesnt really matter but anyways i was wondering if it hurt more than getting the cartilage of the upper ear pierced cuz i got that pierced when i was 16 and it didnt hurt..

Yes it does hurt worse than the top of your cartilidge I have both of them done. Your nose is very sensitive and whatever side you choose do get done it will make that eye water up. Mine was so swollen after I got it done that you couldn't even tell I had my nose pierced and it took a few weeks b4 the swelling even went down.

I have both piercings done along with nipples, belly, monroe(beauty mark), and hood. My nose hurt I wont lie but only for a moment and yes my eye did water. The pain is short and i love nose rings i think they are totally sexy.
In reading some other answers it sounds like some ppl are advocating gettting this done with a piercing gun at claires or something, please whatever you do dont do this. the scar tissue incurred is awful will lengthen healing time and scarring if you decide to take the piercing out at some point. Go to a local piercer (some one with a good rep ask around im sure you will get suggestions) and have it done properly.

I have my cartilage pierced on my left ear, an industrial piercing in my right ear, and I have my nostril pierced. The nostril was the worse. It made my eyes water really bad. But its not something that you cant tolarate. I would get them all done again if ever needed. Just make sure that you take care of it. Good luck!

I've had my nose pierced since I was 17 or 18 & the only reason it hurt me was because unfortunately it was windy as hell that day....But, no it really doesn't hurt if you can get more than one hole in your ear a simple nose piercing is nothing{which it really is nothing compared to a tattoo}...A slight eye water from feeling the snap from the gun thats the only pain, plus cold air as we all know will make something sensitive even more sensitive to pain....

It does sting when you get it done. For me it was just the same amount of "pain" for my cartilage. It just depends on you're pain tolerance. But do make sure you clean it 3 times daily or it will swell and hurt.

It depends on the person. My nose didn't hurt at all, my ears hurt more than that . So did my bellybutton. but my cousin got hers done with me and she said it hurt really bad.

pain is different for everyone; but for the most part, getting your nose pierced and getting your cartilege pierced are about the same pain-wise.
but, if it is something you want, then no matter how bad it hurts, it worth going with it.

it hurts a deal more....upper ear is nothing...i barely felt it, but my eyes watered when i got my nose pierced....but i'm sure you'll be fine..

Nope, and I did mine myself. I ended up taking it out because I wanted to get a better job, but no, it doesn't hurt and heals rather quickly.

im pretty sure it wont hurt as much as your ear...but then again some people experience pain worse then others in certain areas...have fun and i hope you like it!
