Practice the method at http://deeplyrelax.com , so you will be prepared if their is another. An alternative is to breathe in slowly to the count of 8, hold to the count of 4, and exhale to the count of 8: do this 3 - 4 times. Some people breathe into a paper bag for 10 - 15 seconds, but this can sometimes be inappropriate, like when driving, or in a meeting, etc. Remember: "Wherever you go; there you are!", carrying your emotional baggage with you. Practice for 20 mins daily, and when needed, the technique at http://www.selfhelpmagazine.com Meditation room; try it out; mantra meditation; repeat the word: "easy", or gaze at a burning candle in a quiet, darkened room. It may help to repeat "easy" in your mind, as you employ the breathing method, if you can manage it, during panic attacks.

Huh, you sound like me. The truth is I dont know what keeps me holding on. But if it wasnt for that I wouldnt be here anymore. I think it all depends on the person, do you want to? or do you just feel an urge? Maybe it means it is more then as urge, maybe it is meant to be. But just go in a quiet room and think. Think about why you would run away. Hey, just call the Run away Hotline.

please dont listen to some of these fools. running away from home isnt a great idea - its not safe and there are all sorts of people and dangers about these days. i dont know how old u are or if anything bad has happened at home but try and find someone to talk to. i like the idea of going out for something to eat or going cinema or somewhere just to get away for abit. sometimes i think we all feel we would like to run away from daily routine...i know i do at times. maybe you could take a holiday or something.
running away will solve nothing but more than likely cas you more trouble and will hurt the people who love you very much
good luck and stay strong

i also have panic and anxiety attacks.i do not recommend running away regardless of your age.what helps me is a clean quiet dark place.if you are young and still live at home turn your bedroom into your safe place. paint your walls a relaxing color and decorate with light colors . i also would suggest candles vanilla is a relaxing scent. turn your lights off light a candle and lay down a relax.good luck and may God bless you.

instead of wanting to run away...leave the house and go see a movie or something. that way your out of the house yet at the same time your under control and you might be able to calm down and go back home.

It sounds like you are suffering from depression, as I have the same thing. It has taken me years of medication and therapy to learn to live with it. It is a disease just like any other. Please listen to me when I say to go talk to your doctor or even better, a Psychiatrist or Psychologist, to get checked out. Life can be so much better. Please take it from someone who's been there.

Your best bet is to pursue treatment from a psychiatrist, such symptoms may be a sign of an anxiety disorder. Such symptoms can be treated effectively with intervention and medication.

Ask yourself where that urge is. It is in your head. Who put it there? You did. Who is continuing to think about? You are. Who chooses what thoughts you think? You do. So who can think about something else? You can.
