Can we truly have a healthy relationship without sex being considered the most important part of that relationship?

I hope so. What do couples do when they can't have sex after having a baby? Hopefully the fathers don't find someone else, they just wait instead knowing that their love is more powerful than sexual urges.

it's possible, but guys (at least, most i know) would consider sex a very inportant, if not absolutely necessary, part of any relationship. Guys are much better at expressing their love in sex, whereas girls are much better out of the bed at love. but if he really loves you, he won't need sex to be with you. just remember that it's probably one of his greatest (albeit secondary) desires, and that if you don't get physical soon, he may be attracted to other options.

well from my experience with my b/f...i would have to say there has to be certain amount of sex in a relationship because i did feel like you at a time, and when i suggested to take a break from sex he said it was ok but guess what???we still ended up breaking that!!!
