I kind of understand- kind of. There are a lot of people at my school who know me and talk to me (I am well known), but I never knew their name. Eventually I figured it out.
What you should do depends on how well you know him- if you don't know him well just ask. If you do, that might be embarrassing, so ask someone else who knows him.

omg same exact problem. i am like in love with this 8th gradeer (a grade over me) and he has my pe period. i see him everday and dont know his name. i still dont know it but i have an idea. go up to him and say "hi! umm, my friend likes u and she wants to know ur name" (the ummm was meant to be in there)
