Well, all of the answers so far looked OK. I just want to add that there used to be (and probably still is) a nice frozen Margarita mix in the markets. Was carried in the Freezer Section, with the frozen Orange Juice, Lemonade, etc. If I remember right, it called for one can of mix and one can of Tequila. Pour over ice and blend. It really made a nice tasting Margarita. But remember, that is the equivalent of six shots of Tequila, so use a LOT of ice and beware. Don't drive later. (you might be able to cut it a little more with some 7-up in the blender). V.

The triple sec or cointreau will add an orange flavor to the margarita. Good bartenders use one or the other. I squeeze a fresh lime into the mixture.
Using a blender? throw in 1/4 lime skin and blend 2 min. for a surprise taste.

NO! You have to use sweet and sour, not limejuice, and triple sec.
Should be: 4 parts tequila, 1 part triple sec, 4 parts sweet and sour, and just a tiny bit of lime juice, plus salt on the rim of the glass.

Without triple sec it would not be a margarita. that does not mean you wont like it you may have just invented a different drink, i would try and thaw the juice out and take shots.
