I'm 18 male and I am 5'10", which I know isn't short, the thing is my dad is 6'3" my mom is only 5'2", but the doctor told me I would be at least 6 foot. Is there any hope for me to reach this even though I'm already 18?

Sure, there are several tall people that were late bloomers. I grew a bit more than an inch at 21. I wound up 5' 11'' and could dunk a basketball. Michael Jordan and Pete Maravich grew tall but nobody else in there families were tall. I knew a pastor of a church who was quite tall and big, but his sons were about 5' 9". The pastor had a short wife. How much sleep you get, diet exercise has some effect. Genetics determine height but lack of sleep, bad diet, etc. can thwart even good genetics. I would think you would have a good chance of growing more if your Dad also had a late spurt. And, if you feel diminished by not being taller, you can weight lift and run and get in marvelous shape to make up for it. You have to realize that you may not be as tall as your Dad. If you are then it will have to be a late spurt. A lot of great men in history were a lot shorter than you.

Your doctor never should have said that. He has no idea how tall you are going to be. You might grow a little more, no way to know. You sure can't take or do anything to make yourself grow. Men are done growing when they are 21-22.

yup, you have a couple more years in which you could grow... males begin growing later than females. If you were a female I would say you are outta luck, but yea you could definatley reach 6 foot.
