I recieved a ticket last week i drove my friends who were both drunk and iam 20 n will turn 21 in 2 weeks but i had consumed 2 beers early on in the night but 3 hours later i drove them home. The alignment of the car was messed up which sucks cuz i wasnt warned. The car got in a minor accident on the side of the rode. A neighbor called the state trooper to come. The trooper came took my our ids asked me if i had drank i told him the truth i had 2 beers he gave me breathalizer test. He said i told the truth because the test was under .03 he did write me up for underage drinking n on the ticket he put i drove recklessly. I asked if i would be affected when i apply to the Police academy he said they will give me a misdemeanor for Underage drinking n i have to pay a fine and the reckles driving would proably be dropped. I believe him and i would just like to know if the penalty he states would be true or will it be worse? this is in North Carolina if that affects anything

ask for the "first offender" they will usually give it to you, you can only use it once, and once you complete everything, your record will be expunged (coming from Georgia)

It's really not up to the officer to say what is going to be dropped and what isn't and how it's going to be charged. The judge may take some things into consideration, but it depends on the law. As far as you saying the car was off alignment, the judge gets stories all the time, so it's hard telling what he's going to believe and what he won't. Anyway, if a car is off alignment you can still control it so there must have been another reason as to why the neighbor called you in.

I just hope and pray that you’re not allowed to become a police officer of any kind.
You have already shown an inability to make the proper decision.
There are enough alcoholic police officers and officers with the proclivity to commit other and sometimes extremely dastardly crimes.
That state nor this country needs another rogue cop.
Driving while intoxicated should carry a mandatory charge of depraved indifference to human safety and life.
No matter what one thinks, your mental and physical acuity is not what it is when compared to your abilities when you’re sober.
I thank God that I don't drive. I'm a recovering alcoholic.
I used to drink to get drunk but God blessed me that I never got behind the wheel of any motor vehicle.
Do right by yourself and others…
DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE.

you should be grateful that is all you got. an underage DUI is ten times worse than getting one as an adult. . .if you are serious about attending the police academy (now or in the future) then keep your nose clean. it will come up in your bakground checks and you will have to explain yourself. all you need to do is be honest if you plan on finding a job. agencies do not want dishonest cops on their force.

right here you get an outstanding after which you get caught returned get high-quality and lisecene taken for slightly yet you reported such as you're underage so they may well be stricter to educate you or some thing, dont do it returned then.
