MMM is correct. Lemon juice will probably not stop a cat from spraying. The best way to stop a cat from spraying is to clean up the 'target area' so it no longer smells, and to get the kitty fixed.

There are various enzyme and commercial cleaners specifically for cleaning up cat urine smell. A combination of cleanup and neutering is probably your best bet.

Maybe, but the cat gets used to the smell pretty quickly. You need to work out why the cat is doing it in order to solve the problem.

I had mine neutered that did not help--never heard of the lemon trick but spray some on hie litter box if he quits going there it works---ps have another box availible to him.

It did not work for me... Neutering does not stop it either, at least it did not with my cat. Arm and Hammer's Petfresh is good to eliminate the smell if it already happened.

I've heard that the scent of oranges works.

Probably not but neutering most likely will.
