I allready have adobe reader 8, is it just an earlier version i should uninstall or something completely different?

If 5 shows up in add remove, uninstall it.

I was gonna suggest now download a newer version then notice you have Acrobat Reader 8 so delete 5 it won't harm your system.

It is an earlier version. If anything you should try and run the setup for version 8 just to make sure that you have the most current version.

Dump 5 its the software provider cd thats put it there, saying that next time you laod the driver
EXPLORE the cd and load it from there

You should just uninstall it. Typically, that's a Option to load - bet you didn't 'uncheck' the box....!!
