I just responded to a question from a JW. This person asked if anyone had any questions about JW's beliefs, so that they can clear up any misunderstandings, since they, themselves are a JW. So, I asked: Where in the Bible does it say that Jesus was Michael the Archangel (among other things)? The Asker would not answer my question, so someone else asked her why wouldn't she answer. And within minutes, she removed her question entirely. Why did she remove her question??? Why can't we have a simple discussion about religion? Afterall, she was the one who asked =).

SUNPEKES: Thank you very much, but for your information, I have known 4 JWs (who have been in the watchtower for 20+ years and luckily 3 of them have left and are GLAD they did!). Also, I have researched this org EXTENSIVELY. I even put on a disguise and attended local mtgs. So, TRUST ME, I know what I'm talking about! And the WatchTower website is the LAST place I would go to get accurate information. The watchtower is governed by a body of all men who "make rules" and lie to millions of millions of people, even going as far as to tell people they will NOT inherit God's kingdom. Excuse me, THEY ARE NOT GOD! The only way to the father is through JESUS. So, YOU get it straight!

Nope sorry, going to the Watchtower website is as bad as reading your bible- NWT. It's completely distored, full of false prophesies like the ones told by the Watchtower for many years. Let's not forget about the many false armegeddons. Remember those?

I challenge any JW to go to this website:

(althought JWs are not "allowed" to question their own religion. To do so, would risk getting disfellowshipped)

Jesus comes with a trumpet. He is not the trumpet! Jesus comes with the voice of the archangel. He is not the archangel!
The One coming is the Almighty God! Revelation 1:8.
He is Jesus! Revelation 22:20.
Not one verse of Scripture says, "Jesus is Michael" or "Michael is Jesus"!

I don't think JWs get it... advising us to go to the WatchTower website doesn't help! Because just about everything on that website is FALSE. Just like the bible that only YOUR org uses- the NWT. It was rewritten to support your false doctrine. That is why, to THIS day, the authors of that bible are not revealed and no Biblical Scholar will endorse your bible, because it is F-A-L-S-E! Do you get it now??? And everyone that gave reasoning on the Michael the Archangel thing, is really sadly misguided. There is nothing in the bible that supports this and going around the question isn't helping.
Please tell me who wrote the NWT? And please this time "be honest."

The Bible does not say Jesus is Michael the archangel. But it does hint that it is possible.
Michael and Jesus are both archangels. Can their be two archangels?
Michael and Jesus are both called prince, one is Prince of you people/Michael,... and Jesus is called Prince of Peace.
Jesus was the one who lead the Israelites in the wilderness 40 years. Michael had a dispute with the devil over Moses body. Was Michael Jesus' prehuman name?
Jesus was not called Jesus until he was in the womb of Mary. As a son of God, he would have had a name. He is also called the Word,as his assignment was to tell the Word of God, probably to angels, and to men.
Hebrews shows that angels were his brothers and his peers.
Michael is the leader of the faithful angels, and Satan is the leader of bad ones. And they had a war and Michael won.
Jesus now has a new name in heaven, Revelation says, and it is a secret.

in simple terms like numerous contributors of a faith; Jehovah's Witnesses are actually not suited and don't have self assurance that that they are greater advantageous or bigger than everyone. although, they do have the actuality. despite thy instruct has scriptural backing and could be recent in God's notice the bible. for this reason, despite God frowns upon contained in the bible is what Jehovah's Witnesses additionally frown upon. although, this would not advise Jehovah's Witnesses have not got exciting. they're many stuff they are able to do yet they constantly do them with modesty in innovations. So, have not got self assurance each nonsensical issues you hear others say approximately Jehovah's Witnesses. Ask a Jehovah's Witness to respond to any questions you may ask.

You have already been given some good answers from some of my brothers and sisters about the identity of Michael, so I am just going to respond to your comment about Jehovah's Witnesses questioning our own religion. Besides the ones who were raised in the truth, many of us came from other religious backgrounds, before we learned the truth. I personally studied the Bible for years, and also read everything that I could get my hands on by all kinds of writers who professed to be Christians. None of them agreed on things. There were as many interpretations as there were books! It was like chaos! (My mother was a Methodist preacher)...
but when honest hearted ones seek the truth, they find it...Jehovah makes sure of it. We are not a cult, we are truth seekers and we have found the truth and we serve our God Jehovah, and his Son, Jesus.
John 4:23 & 24: "Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth.

It is interesting to me how people will downgrade Jehovah's Witnesses calling us misinformed. Yet, when we reason things out in a logical manner, using the Bible, the response from people such as yourself is, we should question our beliefs. Closed minded people often tell us that we shouldn't believe what we have learned from the Bible, yet, what do these people have to offer instead? Bible truths? Nope, just JW bashing.

Jehovah's Witnesses fully understand and agree that Jesus Christ the Son (who is much more than a mere angel) has been appointed by Jehovah God the Father as King of God's Kingdom. Jehovah God is the source of Christ's authority, so that Jesus is now "better than the angels".
(Hebrews 1:3-4) [Jesus] sat down on the right hand of the Majesty in lofty places. 4 So he HAS BECOME better than the angels [caps added]
(Matthew 28:18) And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: "All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth.
(Acts 2:36) God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you impaled.
(John 3:35) The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.
(Acts 5:31) God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand
(Psalm 2:2-6) The kings of earth take their stand And high officials themselves have massed together as one Against Jehovah and against his anointed one... Jehovah himself will hold them in derision..., Saying: "I, even I, have installed my king [Jesus]
**
Clearly, an "archangel" is not the peer of mere angels. Christendom has pretended that Gabriel is also an archangel, and that Satan had been; both ideas have no foundation in Scripture. Some religions in Christendom invent names for four or five additional supposed "archangels"; those invented names have no foundation in Scripture. "Archangel" actually means "Chief of the Angels"; the fact remains that the bible itself speaks of only one single solitary archangel. The Scriptures never use the term "archangel" in the plural, but only in the singular.
Who is a better person than Jesus to be the single "Chief" of all faithful angels? Of whom can it be said that faithful angels belong to him, or are "his"?
2 Thes 1:7 Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels
Rev 12:7 Michael and his angels battled
The bible certainly teaches that the archangel Michael is the same person as Jesus.
Note that Jesus the Lord calls with an archangel's voice:
1 Thes 4:14-16 Jesus died and rose again, so, too... the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel's voice
Do two different persons present themselves during a time of "distress" such as has "not occurred" before?
Dan 12:1 And during that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of the sons of your people. And there will certainly occur a time of distress such as has not been made to occur since there came to be a nation until that time.
Matt 24:3-21 Disciples [asked Jesus] what will be the sign of your presence...?" And in answer Jesus said to them: "...All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. ...for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world's beginning until now
Do two different persons both lead the heavenly armies?
Rev 19:13,14 [Jesus] is The Word of God. Also, the armies that were in heaven were following him
Rev 12:7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels battled
Once you study it, the bible really teaches that Michael is another name for Jesus. Though the term may confuse some, Jesus can properly be called an "archangel" or an "angel" (though not a mere angel) or a "son of God" or a "morning star" (though not a mere 'morning star'). Interestingly, the Scriptures refer to *ALL* angelic spirit creatures as "morning stars" (not just Jesus or Lucifer). Note that the archangel Jesus is uniquely elevated above mere angels by the title "the BRIGHT morning star".
Job 38:4,7 When [Jehovah] founded the earth... When the morning stars [or "angels"] joyfully cried out together, And all the sons of God began shouting in applause
Rev 22:16 I, Jesus... I am the root and the offspring of David, and the BRIGHT morning star. [caps added]

Just because Christ's voice is described to have an angel's voice doesn't mean that He himself is an angel. As a matter of fact doesn't Hebrews 1 state that He is higher than the angels. Creator instead of creation If anyone else can verify that would be good. I think the JW's point in that teaching is for Him to be creation in place of Creator. Sorry JW's you guys are clearly wrong on that. Also that He resurrected spirtually and not with His entire body. Blessings and good question, I asked one the same exact thing and He was completely stumped

It is up to the reader if they believe that the bible is true or not. If they believe that it is the word of God that comes from the bible then the Lord Jesus Christ is a archangel.
"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel" - from any bible.

The name of this Michael appears only five times in the Bible. The glorious spirit person who bears the name is referred to as "one of the chief princes," "the great prince who has charge of your [Daniel's] people," and as "the archangel." (Dan. 10:13;12:1;Jude 9, RS) Michael means "Who Is Like God?" The name evidently designates Michael as the one who takes the lead in upholding Jehovah's sovereignty and destroying god's enemies.
At 1 Thessaloians 4:16(RS), the command of Jesus Christ for the resurrection to begin is described as "the archangel's call." and Jude 9 says that the archangel is Michael. Would it be appropriate to liken Jesus' commanding call to that of someone lesser in authority? Reasonably, then, the archangel Michael is Jesus Christ. (Interestingly, the expression "archangel" is never found plural in the scriptures, thus implying that there is only one.)
revelation 12:7-12 says that Michael and his angels would war aginst Satan and hurl him and his wicked angels out of heaven in connection with the conferring of kingly authority on Christ. Jesus is later depicted as leading the armies of heaven in war against the nations of the world. (rev. 19:11-16) Is it not reasonable that Jesus would also be the one to take action against the one he described as "ru;er of this world," Satan the Devil? (John 12:31) Daniel 12:1 (rs) associates the 'standing up of Michale' to act with authority with "a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time." That would certainly fit the ecperience of the nations when Chrisrt as heavenly executioner takes action against them. So the evidence indicates that the Son of God was known as MIchael beofre he came to the earth and is known also by that name since his return to heaven where he resides as the glorified spirit Son of God.

Just as you feel http://www.watchtower.org is distorted, I feel the same way about such groups as towerwatch. I personally prefer to not rely on ANY website for vital information. As to your earlier question who knows why the person did not answer. It could be they were trying to research your answer fairly so as to provide a complete, detailed response. As for the question being removed. It could be they themselves removed it, or more likely someone removed it for being communication.
