Im starting to look for lunch and we are a bit short on food (day before shopping day). I have some ham I bought sataday and its monday now.
Do you think its alright to eat?
How do I tell?
I normaly ask my wife but she is not here today.

was it nice & fresh when you got it? if so its fine if its been covered
I buy sliced & even shaved ham Christmas eve right & eat it boxing day & keep it covered with glad wrap & never been sick from it but its been kept in the fridge & not in the heat

i wouldnt eat it just to be on the safe side because it can make you very sick if it has gone off or is in the process of going off.
You can usually tell by the smell or a shiny coating on the ham that is abit oily.
Try some of these things for lunch if u have them!
egg sandwich
2min noodles
cheese sandwiches
leftovers from the night before
cold pasta with olive oil and garlic
salad
muffins (if u know how to cook)

ABC information did a piece on how long nutrition can final in the refrigerator. They reported deli meat would desire to purely be in the refrigerator for a week, and then it should be thrown away. Pre-packaged meat lasts longer, besides the shown fact that it is not as healthful.

well, You should check the expired date on it. Or it depends on how you keep it, it will still be consummable if it is kept in the fridge. or else, you could try to look at the color (usually pinkish with no black green spots unless it is flavored with peppercorns). The last choice you can make is take a small bit to test it (that would be a lil' bit risky).Gud Luck.

Smell it, if it doesn't have a stink its ok. Usually if keep in a closed container it should last several days.

Is the bag tightly sealed if so if should be okay..
