I think about Jesus and how He allowed Himself to be scourged and beaten, about how He sacrificed Himself on the cross for me. I come to Him with no pride and He fills my soul. His love is so amazing! He answers prayer. I was alone and lonely, I prayed to the Father in Jesus' name to find a wife. I told no one about my prayer. A week later, a girl I knew called me and said, "You won't believe this but God inspired me to ask you out on a date." We've been married 5 1/2 years now.

God Bless!

Sometimes I do that too. But I try to think about what the precher is saying and what kind of life I'm living. Sometimes I wonder what the elderly folk are thinking as the glare at the children fast asleep in the front rows... 0.o

Unless you have ESP, I doubt if you can think the same thing as the others in the Church. Just try and think about what is happening at that moment in the service and let the other people find God in their own way.

No, I don't think this is a weird question, because all of us have our minds wander from time to time. Like today, I felt a kick on my shoulder and the little girl sitting behind me had taken her shoe off and hit me with her bare foot. What can I say, what I was thinking wasn't particularly nice. But then I remember that Jesus wouldn't be ticked with her, so neither should I. When my mind wanders I just try to refocus on what the service is about.

I'm usually concentrating on the Liturgy and my proper intention to offer the Holy Mass in keeping with the tradition of the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Oh...and my sermon. I think about that a little, too.

Usually I'm thinking about what the Pastor is saying and how my life matches up with the word of God or about how I might share what I'm hearing with someone else who could use some help in their own walk with Christ in the area that the Pastor is talking about.

While in church, we are supposed to focus on God. In fact, we are supposed to focus on God every day. On everything that He's done for us and how much we love Him. While in church we are supposed to be worshipping Him. We should not let anything distract us from that.

Sometimes I also get distracted by other people but I try to focus my attention on the celebrant (I am a Catholic).
God bless!

Today my pastor was talking about prayer. I was thinking about what he was saying, that I don't pray as much as I ought to, that God has answered my prayers incredibly and that it's amazing, knowing the power of prayer, that I spend so much time in front of the TV.
