I bought 2 fresh Chicken breasts 1 day ago from a "good" market. They are "organic"
But when I went to prepare them today I noticed an odor when I was washing them, not an overwhelming odor but it smells a bit "bad"
Is this normal? should I still cook and eat the Chicken?

As working in the Meat Department at a Supermarket......Chicken should have little or no odor. When you open the package and let it air out for a few minutes and it still smells you should go by the rule I always have. "When in doubt throw it out" Take your receipt back to get a full refund and they will be happy to give you money back or a new package of chicken...

Depends on how strong an odor. The "smell" can probably be washed off and you shouldn't have any issues. If after rinsing with cold water there is still a discernable bad smell, pitch the chicken and order a pizza.

well i wouldn't say chicken smells good raw at all as long as it is not overwhelming and not sticky!! make sure as with all chicken you cook it thoroughly. if your still not comfortable and you just bought it yesterday id take it back to the store with the receipt for another(sounds embarrassing but better then dying

Just by asking the question is the first clue and anything that you think you have to smell to see if it's good is gone, a little bad is like being a little pregnant.

I took culinary arts in school and my mother was a chef for 25 years, we have a saying in the food industry..." if in doubt throw it out". If you have to ask weather its still good or not... then its not. DO NOT i repeat DO NOT eat it, salmonella( a very bad bacteria) can be faital. PLEASE take my word and DO NOT eat it.

if it's got a sorta funky odor to it, it may not be as fresh as you think

I wouldn't if I were you. It sounds like it is starting to rot.
