I just took driver's ed and my teacher told me: Which ever one is on the right. So, then I told her that every one was on the right from each other, and she wrote me up for talking back! What do you think about the question?

Your logic is right, but in the real world four cars are very unlikely to get to the stop at the same second. So one of them will be a nanosecond earlier than the others, and that one will start and then the rotation will go around to the right.

In the REAL real world, however, even though the law says otherwise, whoever is opposite the first one will generally go through the intersection at the same time as the first one (unless one of them is turning). Then the other two will go through together. (E.g., the two heading north and south will go through at the same time, then east and west, then north and south again, etc.)

All this depends on the local laws and customs, of course.

I was told that if they all got there at the same time then the one with the biggest truck or could cause the most damage goes first then the one on the right and so on. This came from my husband when I had a teeny tiny car so I always waited for someone else to go

The one with the most b@lls. Cause lets face it they are all going to be sitting there waiting...so one will eventually break the mexican standoff and move leaving the others to follow the normal rules.

But in reality, the chance of 4 cars turning up to one intersection at the EXACT SAME TIME is going to be highly unlikely...usually the person that arrived first will go first.

The one with the highest I Q get out of their vehicle and waves every one else through. If they all make it safely he or she then goes last. If they crash in the intersection laugh and point. Then drive around the wrecked cars.

Oh, that's easy! If everyone gets there at the same time, and everyone stops, the biggest SUV (or truck) goes first. NOT the guy in the Suzuki!

Don't worry, you'll get it!

d-khar, in spite of his foul tongue, is right. Most often, someone will start creeping forward, or, like me, will be courteous and wave someone through. Not all drivers on the road are pig heads and bullies.
