The really bad ones go to hell. The rest go to purgatory for purification.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines purgatory as a "purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven," which is experienced by those "who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified" (CCC 1030). It notes that "this final purification of the elect . . . is entirely different from the punishment of the damned" (CCC 1031).

The purification is necessary because, as Scripture teaches, nothing unclean will enter the presence of God in heaven (Rev. 21:27) and, while we may die with our mortal sins forgiven, there can still be many impurities in us, specifically venial sins and the temporal punishment due to sins already forgiven.

Peace!

Sylvia Brown's knowledge dose not come from God.The Bible says in Revelation that Satan and his demon followers would be cast down to the earth during the time of the end ,which is now,and will" mislead the entire earth " If Sylvia was living during Hebrew times she would be stoned! { Rev 12:12 }

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)

They either go to a place of rest because God received them, but their sins weren't covered by the blood of the Lamb. Or the Go to a place where the dead are in the sea. Or they go to a place where the dead are in hell. And there are different levels of hell.

Sylvia Brown doesn't ask God who knows where people go. So, if a loved one of mine passes on, I ask God in prayer, and God always lets me know.

Of course I am writing about the soul or the soul/spirit of a person. Their bodies get buried and turn back to dust.

Google says they go to Michigan.

I'm confused... I looked at the photo gallery and everyone looks pretty happy, they are even eating ice cream. Could we have all gotten the wrong impression about this hell place. Next time some christian tells me I'm going to hell, I just might get a little excited and break out my luggage.

the experience of the afterlife is very reflective of one's experience of this life...a negative experience here will be reflected in a negative experience there.
An apathetic view here, is reflected in the experience of an existence whose essence is apathetic there.

Only once one transcends the limitations of individuality, emotionality, and physicality do they really cross over completely into the highest experience of heaven.
