I agree with Zimmi and halfway with Icarus: Whatever faith - or lack thereof - makes you be a good and respectful person and helps you proceed through life in accordance with your principles is the best one for any given person.

Beyond that, it all depends on a person's personality and what religious or atheistic texts speak to them. Different things appeal to different people.

There are a lot of faiths and followings. You have to pick the one that makes sence and does not require that you comite sucide and you should be able to measuere you thinking against. If the religion controdicts it's self and is based on hate or greed. Islam contrdicts it's self so many times it is not funny. Christianity is the most interesting religion in my opion, Jesus is a compasionet persion who will forgive your mistakes. Buddhism and Confucianism were not meant to be a religion (they both have no god and are meant to be a way of life). Here are a few interisting sites. Please visit them.

Free thinking. Keeping an open mind for reading literature about the origins of every religion, or start your own theology path. Then, you can choose from there. Do a chronological timeline and record events of importance for each religion.

Islam

The only belief system I would recommend to someone is that which speaks to their heart.

And while that sounds rather 'spiritual' I include atheism. Although perhaps atheists might prefer the word 'intellect' instead of 'heart'.

I recommend no faith at all, since faith is anathema to truth, and I value truth. Just be a decent person, guided by empathy and compassion, and you can't go far wrong.

Islam, believe in God alone and that this life and its transiently pleasures are only the drop of the ocean in terms of what our true life in the hereafter will be.

I would go with the one with the most logicaly religions...such as Christianity. With the Bible the most accurate book of its time.
