Does it take a while for 5-htp to start working?

Im taking 300mg for about a week now , split in 2 doses

in order for 5htp to start working. You have to take it at least 2 weeks before you can see the results. Remember to drink a lot of water.

I have been taking it for over a month and at first I noticed an improvement after a couple of days. I have been talking about 200 MG and now my depression is coming back. It seems that it just gives short term relief (a few hours) after taking them, then it wears off.
