I've never had particularly good lung capacity--my breath tends to be shallow. However, I never had any reason to believe I had asthma.
I've recently been exposed to some household pesticides (pyrethrins) that are supposed to be safe but can irritate your lungs. Well, lately I feel that I am not breathing very well or deeply, and immediately after exposure my lungs feel tight and constricted. I'm in my early 30s and I've only been feeling this way in the past year, since being exposed to these chemicals.
Is this likely to just be an allergic reaction or could I actually develop asthma from exposure to these chemicals?
