It would be that the pro amnesty believes there are two sets of laws one for the America people and another for Illegal aliens. The pro amnesty claims its the federal government's job to handle any problems with the law not the local police. The pro amnesty represents many a drunk driver as a misunderstood person who didn't know it was illegal to drink and drive. The illegals are put into the spot light as it's OK to use fraud and lie and cheat it's all part of the better life package.

I understand that a vast majority of immigrants, legal or not, do appreciate this country and are proud to live here, but I do notice a select few (legal and illegal immigrants) do disrespect America and then act like it's their right to be in the U.S. I was reading an article in the paper today about a Muslim scholar who came to the U.S when he was 12, legally with his parents. In the article, this scholar bashes America and speaks of how great Islam is, saying he only stays in the U.S to escape religious persecution and use his constitutional right to warship to allow his studies to flourish. And another story about these unappreciative freeloaders: in Hazleton, PA, the local government there passed laws that fine landlords that rent to illegals and businesses who hire them; businesses that fail to comply to the law can have their business liscense revoked and all landlords must register at city hall to ensure their tenants have legitimate residency/citizenship status. Anyway, these illegals teamed up with the ACLU to file a suit to stop enforcement of these laws and eventually have them repealed. A photo on the front page of the newspaper showed two Mexican children, a boy and a girl (I think it's safe to say that they are illegals or anchor babies) holding signs saying "we are America", in protest of the laws. I almost barfed all over the paper when I saw that. llegal immigrants are not America, not matter how much they wish they were, in fact, they are the Anti-America, mere criminals for sneaking across the border. Legal immigrants are America, not these freeloader illegal scumbags. Why the police did not arrest these illegal immigrants during the protest, I'm not sure. But either way, people who don't appreciate the U.S and what it has to offer need to get the hell out.

some 'people' are just illegal in every way. It does not come from being an immigrant, they are just like that. You will find that a lot of people who were born in your country also believe that they have a right to behave in despicable manner. I think you need to appreciate that we have 2 types of people - those who respect others and those who do not. You seem to assume that the fact that they are illegal immigrants is the deciding issue. A cursory inspection of your past history will show that everybody in your country started off as illegal immigrants who after declaring themselves legal, wiped out the locals and imposed their own way of thinking. Perhaps the illegal immigrants you refer to are simply taking a leaf....

Disrespect what ??

throughout history many laws had been broken. So dont come up to me talking about laws.

Usually those who make the rules make them for their benefit, not thinking about anyone else.

NO ONE DESERVES TO LIVE FREE UNLESS... fill in the blank! You died to attain freedom. One or both of your parents died to attain freedom. Your ancestors died making the trip from (fill in the blank) to attain freedom. One or both of parents died killing native American to claim this land for (fill in the blank)!
Explain how one "acts" like they deserve anything.
Are you even remotely aware of how screwed-up Central and South America are right now? How screwed up they have been, for say the last 30 years? Why, would anyone choose to stay in Nicaragua, Argentina, Guatemala, Bolivia? Should someone risk breaking US immigrating law if your children can't eat? Your countries Government is corrupt and you have no political power?
Use this amazing tool, the Internet, investigate the living standards of those countries, people file from. Decide for yourself; "would you stay their to attempt to make things better?"

I know exactly what you mean!!! In my area there is a group of certain Eastern Europeans (cough cough)who act like we ow them...they are rude and get this, act like they are superior! It's unbelievable. I get along with just about everyone, but I cant stand two things. Lazy people and people who are too impressed with themselves....Mean while they enjoy the freedoms of our country and curse it in the same breath....I don't understand it...I just don't. I wish it wasn't like that but it is and it's not my fault..

Because they are stupid. But don't generalize all illegal immigrants either, not all of them disrespect the country (other than the fact they crossed the border illegally).

I don't know.

They break the our laws, yet say they are not criminals.

They need to take care of there family's ect. its not there fault.

We need to enforce our laws,we let it go on for so long.

Now we need to stop them.
