hi, i just bought the canon powershot s3 is and i'm still getting used to it.
at first, when i took a picture it gave a little preview for a minute, then it went back to the regualr screen. now when it gives the little preview, this graph thing and some other info is on the preview.

i don't know what i pressed to make it do that, but when i see the little preview i don't want to see those! just the picture not the info.
do you know how to change it back?
thanks!

p.s. here's a link to a picture if you have no idea what i'm talking about, if it helps

Go to the setup menu and choose "Reset All." Since you just got the camera, you probably have not made any changes that you wish to keep.

There must be a monitor setting for playback, but I'm not finding how to get rid of the "details" or "histogram" that you are seeing.

There is nothing wrong with the camera so you do not have to reset it.
Jordan's answer is correct. All you have to do is press DISP, which is the lowest button on the back of the camera. Press it one or two times till you get to the full sized photo on the screen.

I have the same camera....hit the "Disp" button a few times in the view mode until it goes back the way you like it.

um also, if you hit the disp button in picture taking mode, it can show a 3x3 grid. not sure if you like that, but as a photographer it does help you with the "rule of 3s".
