Sounds like it would violate the Thirteen Amendment of the US Constitution (ie., purchasing people).

I'll be interested to see how it works. One time about 20 years ago I knew a woman who was going to have an abortion and her mother was going to give her the $500 or so dollars that it was going to cost. I told her that I would give her the same amount of money to keep her child and that she could use it to offset the costs of having a baby. It didn't work for me, but I wasn't a Christian back then so I didn't ask God for help. She told me that she knew that if she had the baby she couldn't give it up for adoption. Maybe if these people pray God will be gracious and save some innocent lives.
Personally, I like the law I heard about in South Carolina where a mother has to look at an ultrasound of her baby before she puts it in the hands of the butchers who take the name of "doctors".

I say sell a baby save a baby's life its all so twisted, semantics. So what a baby's life is speared, rather then being torn out of a womb worse then an animal would be treated.A child's life is worth more then 500 bucks. If they are sold at least they are alive and given to hopeful parents rather then being thrown into a trash heap.

I love it. It sounds like a surrogate pregnancy to me, so it should be able to abide by those laws. So many people want baby's and so many people don't. This could be a way for everyone to win.
Outside of my fantasy world, those women will most likely not want $500 as compensation (which medical should also be included) might decide to get a late term abortion.

It's a good way for rednecks to make money.....get pregnant, sell the baby, recover from the birth, repeat as often as necessary.

As a pro-lifer - I like any idea that saves the lives of the unborn.
As a Libertarian - I'm against spending taxpayer money to do it.

$500! Wow, that's like $.07 per hour or $70/pound.
