Maybe in pilot school you will meet a pilot and marry him.
I say go for your dream.

If that is really what you wanna do then you should be an airline pilot. Gender does not matter, most people would find that facsinating, probably would impress lots of guys. What guy out there wouldn't want to tell their friends that their girlfriend or wife is an airline pilot. As far as getting married and having a family, airline pilots travel a lot and when you think about it, it doesn't leave much time to have a family. You might be able to carry on a long distance relationship with someone but I heard that's difficult. If you want to be an airline pilot, you should do that first, then when you find the right one and decide to settle down, you should take some time off from being a pilot and then when your kids are all grown up you can go back to doing what you love to do.

Yes, it's fine.
On the subject of a husband, he may earn more than you will as a pilot, and if you meet a guy who has a problem with your having a larger salary, you may want to consider a differen t guy.
The time apart is a real factor. When you find someone, discuss this. If he is okay with it, make contact and time together a priority. That means, your spouse and future family come first when you are home, with hardly any exceptions besides your parents and sibs and his parents and sibs, etc.
On the subject of manly jobs, there are few jobs that are considered male or female jobs these days. Women are found in almost every field, and so you can relax.
Do your best to be a great pilot. Passengers will be counting on you.
God bless you, and I hope this happens for you if this is what you want.
Hope I helped.

That is very sad if you believe that you should not pursue your dream because of what a man 15 years from now will say. If he is that insecure then you don't want to marry him anyway. There are many men who have no problem with a woman in this position, and it is not a "manly" job. Most men would be proud to have a wife who was a pilot. If you make more money than he does, and it bothers him, he'll just have to work harder to get a promotion. Relax. You will regret it if you don't do what you desire. Good luck and work hard.

Most definitely. you will get married and have a big family all that will come. Most important thing is that you will have a secure future. Become a pilot, you will meet a guy and be able to buy a house and settle down. Its done every day. Staurtist travel alot, Military personnel get deployed months on end. Most guys dont like chicks making more money than them but if he loves you he will realize that its about "us" not your money or my money. Its about "our" Family, and having a stable secure future without having to worry about paying the bills or providing for the children. Make sure to buy a house close to your parents so when you have children your mom might be able to help out.

You will fall in love with someone no matter who you are or what you do. How do you know you wont end up with a guy that doesnt mind being a stay at home dad. I had to do it for a while and neither my wife or I minded.
For the first part of our Marriage My wife was the major breadwinner, I didnt mind at all because we were both doing our share.
Who makes the most shouldnt matter at all, as long as the bills get paid.
If you marry a truckdriver he will be gone alot too.
In the end it will all boil down to TRUST, in any relationship.

I think it is a wonderful career for you if that is what you want. It is no longer just a man's job. And when it comes time for you to marry and have a family you will adjust . There will be a man that you will meet while you are a pilot and already knows what your job will require of you and he will adjust to it as well. Who knows he might be a pilot to.

I say go for it
What man doesn't want to marry an amazing successful woman who goes after her dreams.
But consider that in ten years time you may have different ideas on what you want, like you may still want to be a pilot but only a couple of kids or you may not want to ever get married (that is an option you know).

Sure it's okay! I think it's great, flying is wonderful! Don't worry about not being able to find a guy who can deal with you being gone a lot, there's always people who'll think it's cool. Perhaps even a fellow pilot, lots of cool guys in the profession :-)
