Uggggh... when will they EVER learn that (Darwinian) evolution is a NON-RANDOM process that has nothing to do with religion, atheism or abiogenesis (green slime part)?!
... I love that site. :-D

actually, Darwin was quite brilliant...his beliefs are beside the point(believing has nothing to do with being intelligent. A dumb person can believe equally varied and opposing views just as an intelligent person).
...and being so brilliant, and having raised a bunch of tough questions for Christianity, Christianity has probably grown as a result...though many might not be as devout or certain, those who are devout are generally (and I mean generally globally not generally on Y!A) more mature about things and considerate of other ways of looking at things.

The decline of Christianity started way before Darwinism. It started back in the first century. You can take a look in the book of Jude for one. Jesus said after His death that oppressive wolves will enter the congregation dressed in sheeps clothing. He also said that an apostacy would happen{ a breaking away from truth}.If you think about it Constantine was the first Pope of the Roman catholic church{ not Peter} and he invited the pagans of that time to join in.{ power in numbers}. That is where you get most of your pagan holidays with Christian names from. From that point all other so called Christian faith sprang from. So they all today {except one} are all in a sense from the same mold. The Holy Bible holds the truth to everlasting life. Not man.

Sorry, but you're way off. There's no decline in Christianity. My church has doubled in 2 years. it now has approx 2500 members and 4 services each weekend holding 800 in the main venue alone.
We are putting up anew building to accomodate the expected growth over the next 3 yrs.
If that's a decline . . . praise the Lord.

Christian Civilization is based on christian Faith. Stick to your Faith, the civilization will remain alive. Change your Faith or modify your Faith, the civilization will change. Christian Faith was compromised, during Roman era. so, it has been on its change slowly, and now the changes are practised boldly. Darwin concept is only related to biological relationship among a group of species. It is purely scientific, idealogy, which has been rejected already. It has nothing to do with decay of christian civilization. Any faith, which becomes non-scientific, is going to decay. Science is "Action Of God, the Creator of this Universe" and Faith is "Discipline of God, the Creator, of all Living Beings"

Actually, it's fundie religion that is the cause of the decline in society! The fools think that they are all saved, so they can go out and do any damn thing that they want to.

People are holding on too tight to the Golden Age of the 50s. Yet there was racial injustice and so on.

What decline??? Christ has built his church and nothing will prevail against it. It's been around for over 2000 years... Darwinism is just a drop in the bucket that is fast evaporating. You'll never be able to kill the Truth found in Jesus.

Teach children they are nothing but animals and they will start acting like it.
One of the Columbine kids said he LOVED natural selection and "weeding the weak from the strong."

Oh I hope so and I can't wait till Christian "civilization", and every other religious 'civilization', collapses all together, and it can't happen soon enough. We'll be lucky if we survive as a species to see the end of religion as we know it.
